On December 13th, the Moore County Board of Education voted to transition from masks required to masks optional for all students, staff and visitors while on school grounds effective immediately. Masks will continue to be required while on school buses and activity buses. For those with concerns about in-person instruction under masks optional protocols, we are reopening the application for enrollment into the Connect! MGM Studios will release DOG a movie about soldier handlers and their War Dogs.  Seven Lakes resident Dave Nielsen, an Army Special Operations veteran and Combat Assault Dog handler will be  in the movie and  also has a role as consultant. Dave and his dog Pepper who was killed by an enemy soldier while on deployment to Iraq in 2006 was recently honored with a permanent plaque at the Wall Of Honor dedication in November.
