Mike Comito, a Seven Lakes South resident for many years sent us a fascinating story. His wife Irene graduated from high school in 1958.
She lost her class ring over 65 years ago in ‘1958 or ‘1959somewhere around Washington, PA ( near Pittsburgh) their hometown. She doesn’t really remember the circumstances surrounding the loss.
In mid-June June this year the Comito’sbegan to receivea flurry of messages from a Washington, PAFacebook Group, Page,
Evidently, a woman in Hubbard, OH had found a 1958 class ring in a jewelry box after her mother had passed away with the initials IEA. (Irene’s maiden name is Apache , middle name is Elizabeth) inside She was determined to find the rightful owner of this keepsake ring.
While investigatingand looking foradditional information, she tracked it down to Trinity High School, in Washington, PA.
Several of Irene’s 1958 classmates (and others) immediately came up with the ring’s owner, Irene.
The 1958 ring arrived by mail the following week almost 65 years later.
