We are excited to announce that the very popular Sand Band is coming to Seven Lakes! The Sand Band is being brought in to perform for their “Community Appreciation Night” this event is FREE and being hosted to say thank you for the support the community has given to us for over 40 years!
This event will be at our Fire Department Located at 718 Seven Lakes Dr on Friday September 1st from the hours of 7pm till 10pm,
Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase through Tom & Trish Elliott, owners of the Sandhills Winery. Outside coolers are allowed but outside Alcohol is PROHIBITED.
With The Sand Band, it’s all about a good time! The professional instrumentation and tight harmonies of The Sand Band makes for a great show.
Their repertoire consists of handpicked crowd-pleasing selections from a variety of genres, including Motown, Carolina Beach/Shag, Disco, Classic Rock, and Blues – there’s something for everyone!
The Sand Band boasts a rich history of musical achievements, including award nominations at the Carolina Beach Music Awards for New Band Of The Year and Ballad Of The Year. Our song “Missing You” ended the year 2011 as #2 on the Top 40 Of The Year at radio station 94.9FM The Surf, after having enjoyed 14 weeks at #1 on the Top 40. They have had the honor of performing alongside, or acting as backup band, for such notables as Percy Sledge, Jeff Cook, William Bell, and many others.
Flavor Junction, Wildfire Woodfire Pizza, Smokin Ain’t Easy, Ruckus City Kitchen and Nana and Papa Ice cream trucks will all be there to serve up some great food!
They encourage everyone to bring a camping chair as our bay floor is not well suited for blankets.
No pets will be permitted unless certified service animals. Parking is made possible thanks to the Seven Lakes stables allowing us to use their upper pasture accessible from our driveway on Seven Lakes Dr. cones will be placed to assist with directing of traffic.
We look forward to hosting the Sand Band and all of you on September 1st to give a little back to a community who has given so much to us over the years.
