North Carolina’s own Evee Ashba knows it takes creativity, determination and a whole lot of Duck Tape® to become a finalist of the Duck® brand 23rd Annual Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest.
Hailing from Seven Lakes, Evee stood out from the other contestants with her fun and vibrant 70’s-inspired crop top tux, which took 8 rolls of Duck Tape, 365 hours, and a variety of materials, such as acrylic paint and string, to create.
Her look is complete with polka dots, flare gloves, and a headband.
I was going through a little bit of rough patch, so I wanted to design something that was me,” Evee says
“I have always loved 60’s and 70’s clothing, so I stayed with that theme throughout. During the creation of this outfit, it really helped me interpret who I was as a person.”
Competing for one of two 10,000 cash college scholarships, Evee made it as a top 10 finalist, but now it’s up to the public to decide who will be crowned the winner of the Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest.
