The Women of Seven Lakes will be busy this March with two planned events. First of all, we will hold our regular March Membership meeting at 2 pm on March 2nd at the Chapel in the Pines.
Author Ann Haut, a resident of Seven Lakes West will be our guest speaker. Ann Haut began her writing career at The Detroit News where she wrote feature articles for Sunday magazine. She moved to public relations and wrote speeches for executives of Fortune 500 corporations.
She also contributed to a script delivered by George C. Scott on the NBC television special, Happy Birthday, Bob (Hope), and generated pre-game Super Bowl content that aired on the Today show.
Upon the completion of her Ph.D., she edited two volumes on the lifework and teaching of The Rev. Dr. Walter R. Bouman entitled Jesus is Risen: Theology for the Church. The process of writing, Listen to Your Bread, her first work of fiction will be the topic of the meeting.
For our second March event, we are pleased to host a Spring Fashion Show featuring fashions by Lisa’s Boutique, Carthage, and Looking for Linda, Vass.
Bring a special teacup to enjoy the afternoon tea, complete with a delicious array of finger sandwiches and desserts!
The Spring Fashion Show Fundraiser is being held on March 25 from 1 – 3 PM at Chapel in the Pines.
Tickets are $15 for members, and $18 for non-members and can be purchased at our February and March meetings or reserved by sending your payment to Women of Seven Lakes, 850 Seven Lakes North, West End 27376, and they will be held at the door.
This event had been previously scheduled in 2020 and 2021 but was canceled due to covid 19.
