To watch: dress warmly…the lake is cold at night! If you are viewing from the dam, please note that you CANNOT park cars on the dam. Golf carts are okay if not blocking the road. We should reach the dam about 6:20ish. Feel free to sing songs, be merry, have fun.
To watch from a lakefront home: we hope that on December 10th, we “LIGHT THE NIGHT”…will you help us by lighting up your docks?
The lake will be beautiful, the boaters will be able to see your dock better, and will enjoy looking at them as we pass by!
PLEASE NOTE: if you live far up a cove, we might not be able to safely reach you. Current lake level is low so coves can be shallow. We will do our best to get as far up coves as we deem safe.
If you’re in the coves below Echo and Longleaf dams, you might have better viewing from Sequoia dam this year.
Rain/snow/sleet date …which we hope we won’t need…will be December 17th.
