People that have been stapling signs to poles and crowd them at the intersection of #211 and Seven Lakes Drive, aren’t only creating eyesores in neighborhoods, they’re breaking the law in NC.
These signs are called “bandit signs” and Seven Lakes News has once again been inundated with calls from residents complaing of the eyesore it creates.
The Moore County Planning and Zoning department is now enforcing the DOT statute to the letter of the law. In the past just like mushrooms, these hideous signs are removed and then spring up again. These signs have also proliferated down Seven Lakes Drive. Taco‘s, Roof Washing etc. have been removed and there will be no future warnings. In the event a sign is placed within 90“ of the highway these viloators will face immediate fines of up to $300/day per violation.
Also I have been told that the larger signs on Hwy #211 that violate the law must be removed within 30 days or face fines.
